In a ruling released Friday afternoon by the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina Utilities Commission's 2023 decision to allow Duke Energy to raise rates over the course of three years was upheld.

Here we go!

A little upper-level low is located about 400 miles Southeast of the mouth of the Cape Fear River; it is a great reminder that the tropical season is here. At this point, I don’t expect any development; no models show anything, but I always like to keep an eye on things, regardless this time of year. It could help bring more moisture to parts of Eastern NC on Thursday PM and Friday, with scattered showers and storms around as the front also moves in.

As always, I will watch every tropical/low, etc., in the ocean over the next few months. We don’t need any surprises!
