Something we hear a lot this time of year: "The heat smells funny when it first comes on." A little dusty smell the first few times your furnace runs for the season is usually just dust burning off, and it should fade pretty quick. If it smells like something's really burning, or it just won't go away, shut it off and give us a holler. We'd much rather come take a look than have you lying awake worrying about it.

Just checking in on ya. Halfway through the week already. If you've got a pot of chili going tonight, a blanket on the couch, and somebody's already claimed the good spot, sounds like you're doing Wednesday right. Y'all take care of each other.

Just checking in on ya. Here's a fall chore that takes about two minutes: pull out your furnace filter and hold it up to the light. If you can't see through it, it's time for a new one. Your system will breathe easier, and it'll thank you by not making a strange noise at 2 in the morning. Y'all have a good Tuesday.

Just checking in on ya. Somewhere in Arkansas this week, a family is having the annual thermostat debate. One person's freezing, one person's fine, and the dog is staying out of it. Hope y'all find a number everybody can live with. We'll be here either way.
