We cleaned a few roof drains and under ground drainage systems last year.
So when this customer came to us and asked if we could do a channel drain on his pool deck that was full to the top, slammed packed with dirt and root systems....I said I'd give it a shot. He was told he had to replace the drain at the cost of $1500.
So we saved him a bunch of money today.

These channel drains are in place to protect your home from flooding out in a situation that your pool over fills or you just get a heavy rain. I'd say about 50% of the houses we maintain that have these drains...we often have to kill weeds growing out of them.
That means they are full of dirt, then weeds grow and root systems are making the blockage even worse. Yes...we can even remove the root systems. We pulled 8ft of root out of this one today and tons of pieces that our jet sliced up.

So....I think we found a new market to enter.
We can clean any type of drain system or gutters and of course we leave the property as clean as we found it or better.

If we can't get it clean....we won't charge a thing. 😆

I meant to say something earlier. I might get a little gushy. Lol
March 1st was our 3 year anniversary in business.
It's been by far the biggest and hardest thing I've ever taken on.....going into business.
I put everything I had on the line with the confidence of 21 years experience.
I had no idea how hard this was going to actually be.
I set many goals in the last 3 years to better my families life through being in business. All of which I surprised myself at accomplishing.
That's what this has all been about for me. Providing to my family nothing less than the happiness they provide to me. Bringing more and higher quality time together. Securing a future; all while doing the job I've loved passionately for 24 years. Nothing is greater than waking up excited to go to work. I know it probably sounds crazy that someone could enjoy what I do, but it's not just me; the people on our team share this with me. It's a requirement.

So I just wanted to come on and say......
Thank you all for being a part of the reason I wake up happy every day and know that....supporting this company means you are providing to 4 families. That's the part that allows me to sleep good every night.
Seriously, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you all for trusting us to maintain your landscapes.

No excuses; I want progress!

Those are the words I live by and operate my business on.
I believe a clear understanding of what the customer needs and the companies abilities are, is what has made Covert Lawn Ops so successful in our growth.
No games. No slacking. No excuses. Just giving our customers exactly what they pay for with unmatched reliability.
We come to you with nothing but the most experienced employees in town. We only buy the best equipment on the market.....then we buy two more of everything; because down time is not a option for us......or your landscape. It just looks bad on all of us.

So let's give those landscapes the best, hire the team that brings the best.

I never cut customers St Augustine grass this short. It just requires to much attention to cut this low. But I've had a couple customers question my cutting hieght. I cut customer lawns at 4" to 4.5". Posted here is a 4.5" and a 3" cut.
This is my personal lawn. So it gets a lot of personal attention every single day.

But the questioning from a couple customers comes to me as if my low cutting is making their lawn look bad.
I'm not cutting low......those lawns just aren't growing because they are not healthy. At 4" or higher if you look at turf in a unhealthy lawn right now at this point in time.....you will see many blades with a rounded tip after I get done mowing. Those rounded tips are blades that are not high enough to meet my blades. They are too short. So I'm not even cutting them. A cut piece of grass will have a flat blade where it was cut.....you will see a few of those in comparison. Those are the healthy blades.
Your grass not growing can be many things. One of which is....we are just coming into the growing season and some lawns just started picking up the growth pace.
But nutrients and proper watering play a huge roll in turf health.
My cutting hieght of 4 to 4.5 inches is a great cut hieght (and suggested by every study done) for people that don't spend much time in the lawn. It's where I cut my lawn all year long just like yours. I only cut my lawn this time at 3 inches to show....if your lawn is healthy....even a crazy low cut will look great....just not suggested.
We never do what's easiest. We do what's best. To cut at 3in would require a ton more water than 4 or 4.5. So not even I will do it again.

So here you are 4.5" and a 3" cut. Under proper care.....they can both be beautiful. The 4.5 doesn't have a ruler.
Now hopefully it doesn't get too hot this week.....or I'm going to need ALOT of water. Lol
