But some of the most important parts are the things you’ll never see once it’s done. 👀

For this project, we removed the home’s existing standing-seam metal roof and replaced it with a new shingle roofing system. But this wasn’t just a swap-the-roof-and-call-it-a-day kind of job.

We added LOW-E Therma Sheet beneath the new roof to help reduce heat below the roof deck and improve the home’s energy efficiency over time.

On top, we installed GAF Timberline Ultra HDZ shingles, a premium shingle with Class 4 impact resistance and technology designed to help fight the algae discoloration Florida roofs know a little too well. ☀️🌧️

Because a great roof isn’t just about how good it looks when the job is finished.

Everyone stops thinking about hurricane season right around the Fourth of July.

That's actually backwards. The real peak stretch runs mid-August through October, which means the next ten weeks matter more than the first ten did.

Here's the part nobody loves hearing. Wind doesn't usually create roof damage. It finds damage that was already there and makes it worse, fast. A shingle that's been slowly lifting for months. Flashing that's started to pull away from a chimney or vent.

You don't need a ladder to check some of this yourself. From the ground, look for granules collecting in your gutters or at the base of downspouts, shingles that look curled or dark in patches, and any staining on interior ceilings after a hard rain. Any of those is worth a closer look before, not after, the next storm rolls through.
