Tom Alessi was born in Sicily in 1977 and came to Jamestown with his family when he was two years old. His father Sal Alessi and mother Theresa Alessi built their life here from nothing and this city became home.

Sal didn’t just raise a family here. He helped build this area up through his own work over the years. The kind of guy people in the community know by name because his work is literally part of the landscape around them. Now Sal is retired but the legacy he built didn’t stop with him. His son Tom is carrying it forward.

Sal started teaching Tom the trades when he was just a teenager. Concrete, equipment, the whole thing. By the time Tom was 18 he was in construction full time and spent the next 30 years mastering his trade. Not just good. The kind of good where people start talking.

That is exactly what happened. While he was working for other people word was spreading and people started calling him personally to handle their jobs on the side. It kept happening until Tom realized he wasn’t really working for anyone else anymore in his heart. He was already doing his own thing. He just needed to make it official.

In 2022 he launched TA Excavating & Concrete. Excavation, concrete, heavy equipment operation, septic systems, demolition. Thirty years of experience behind every single job.

He learned his trade as a kid standing next to his father. Now he is building something of his own in the same community his family chose when they came to this country. That means something.
