I really can’t wait to tell you the stories from the 3 families we have worked with this summer.

Coming into your homes and sharing your space with us for months is not easy- but it is worth it!

Our gratitude is overflowing today as we bring each of these homes to a close over the next few weeks. We never take for granted that you allowed us your space and into your family for this season.

We are so excited to see your family grow and thrive together!

She had a vision and knew exactly what she wanted. A bathroom removed, the two story ceiling opened up, bedrooms that flowed, AND a bookcase for antiques treasures 😍🫶🏻

Jubilee; a time for restoration and renewal.

In Levitical times, every 50 years, was a year of jubilee. Where debts were cancelled and slaves were freed. Family bo***ge and generational captivity were set free. The land was renewed and the people were restored.

This was one of Gods ways of showing His people freedom and restoration before Jesus. As the people wandered and made mistakes, there was always hope for the future, God had a plan. And then Jesus fulfilled the plan and was the ultimate jubilee.

When I just looked back at this picture from earlier in the month, I was sweetly reminded that we have the opportunity to bring new life into homes. The Lord allows us to work together and restore and renew what is in front of us, to create a safe place of love and happiness for its families.

What an honor it is to live out our jubilee moments. We aren’t erasing the memories of the past, but truly taking it all in and making something for such a time as this. Full circle restoration.

For this family, a new home, a new moment, a new season, a new space for the 4th generation to grow and be filled with joy and love. And that’s something we don’t take for granted.

We have prayed and prayed for each project to be filled with purpose not only for us, but the people who live there, and each person who works with us, and today, I’m so thankful to be reminded of the true meaning of jubilee.

This family may never see what words are written in the thresholds of their home, but they know they are covered in the Word. That’s a detail that is truly priceless and it’s absolutely the most important thing to us, throughout the entire build.

Let me tell you what Pinterest won’t 🫡

Building soon and don’t know where to start? I’ve got you! Save this post so you know what steps to take before anyone ever shows up to work!

Over at Tanya Lynn, we will be walking you through the entire building process to help make your build easier and hopefully to share some tips and tricks you may find useful along the way.

✅ if you have the land and you have picked a house plan, we have some stops to make before any work starts.

👏🏻 call 811. When they ask, “entire lot or road side only,” choose ENTIRE LOT, Don’t skip this step. Ask me how I know. I’ll save that post for another day.

👏🏻 if you haven’t already, contact your local 911 coordinator for your official address, thank me later.

👏🏻if you need a septic permit, apply for that bad boy NOW.

👏🏻get your utility connections IMMEDIATELY.

-call your electric company, water and sewer company, and gas company and go ahead and get the process rolling.

Just yesterday Johna called the water company to have the water meter installed and they said “great, you’ll have a water meter in 16 weeks.”

Welllllll, I’ll be way past needing water at that point, which means we improvise. We will have to have an external water tank on site and someone will have to make sure it stays full every few days.

I am just overwhelmed with gratitude as I look back over summer time projects 😍☀️

Kathy’s kitchen makes me so happy every time I look at the pictures. She knew exactly what she needed to have a functional kitchen and her vision came to life with so much beauty.

It feels so bright and airy now, it has a vibrance that just makes you feel at home. We are just so thankful for these moments to help bring life and future memories to your home.
