These are newly transplanted this spring and have been doing great.
Thornless raspberries that fruit in June are typically called summer-bearing or floricane-fruiting raspberries. They produce fruit on second-year canes (floricanes) during a concentrated window in early summer, rather than on new first-year growth.
I am not sure the exact name of variety.

We'll be putting out:
🎃 Spaghetti Squash
🎃 Butternut Squash
🤍 Mashed Potato Squash
🌱 Fresh Thyme
I'm especially excited about the mashed potato squash! I saw a video about it and immediately ordered seeds. It's a white winter squash that is supposed to bake up with a texture similar to mashed potatoes. This is our first year growing it, so I guess we'll find out if the hype is real! 😂
Tomorrow will also mark the end of tomato season as the last of the tomato plants come out of the stand.

It has been so hot!! Sadly my cabbage is starting to bolt.
Bolting is when a plant suddenly switches from growing leaves or roots to producing a tall flowering stalk and seeds. It’s a normal part of a plant’s life cycle, but in many garden vegetables it makes the edible part taste worse or stop developing.
I am going to pull it out of the garden and use that space for something else that will be more tolerant of the unseasonable warm weather.
We love zucchini so i will plant that in its place. Starting zucchini from seeds right now will be very successful.

We’ll have flowers available in tins and cedar boxes on Thursday, May 7th for $10 each.
Please note: the bee balm, forget-me-nots, and black-eyed Susans are smaller this year since they were started from seed. They may look modest now, but they’ll fill out beautifully and be much fuller by next year.
