Another challenging foundation repair project completed by Cornerstone Foundation and Waterproofing, LLC!

This homeowner was dealing with a failing foundation wall that needed some serious attention. And as we've learned over 24 years in this industry, there's a BIG difference between making something look better and actually addressing what's causing the problem!

Here's what our crew tackled on this project! 👇

✅ 3 Concrete Foundation Piers — Installed to lift and stabilize the failing foundation wall.

✅ Foundation Crack Repairs — Cracks sealed with hydraulic cement around the foundation to help prevent further water intrusion.

✅ New Crawlspace V***r Barrier — Installed to help control ground moisture and create a healthier environment beneath the home.

✅ Exterior Grading Improvements — Added 2 cubic yards of topsoil to improve the grading around the home and encourage water to flow AWAY from the foundation.

✅ Seed & Straw — Finished off the disturbed areas to help establish new grass and protect the freshly graded soil.

💥 BUT HERE'S WHAT MAKES THIS PROJECT DIFFERENT!

We made the decision NOT to install a full interior waterproofing system at this time!

Why?

Because sometimes the best solution isn't the most expensive one!

After evaluating the situation, we decided to first address the exterior grading and attempt to manage the water BEFORE it ever reaches the foundation.

Will it completely eliminate the need for future waterproofing? Time will tell. But we believe in giving homeowners an opportunity to solve their problems without spending money on systems they may not need!

That's what integrity in this industry looks like.

💪🏻🔥 ONE HECK OF A DRIVEWAY PROJECT! 🔥💪🏻

50' x 18' — COMPLETELY REMOVED, REBUILT, AND POURED!

Here at Cornerstone Foundation and Waterproofing, LLC, we believe there's a BIG difference between simply pouring concrete and doing the job RIGHT!

This homeowner had been dealing with a driveway that had sunk due to improper drainage. Water running down the street was making its way underneath her driveway, becoming trapped and compromising the ground supporting it.

And here's the thing... Pouring new concrete over the same problem doesn't FIX the problem! It's only a matter of time before history repeats itself!

So we went to WORK! 💪🏻

✅ Complete demolition and removal of the existing failed driveway.

✅ 15–16 TONS of dense-grade aggregate brought in, spread, and prepared to bring the driveway up to its proper elevation!

✅ Raised the driveway approximately 5–6 inches to correct the existing elevation issues.

✅ Installed a 6-inch drainage pipe underneath the new driveway to properly manage water runoff.

✅ Created a 2-inch lip at the street entrance to help prevent water from flowing off the roadway and onto the driveway.

✅ Corrected the slope and grading to promote proper drainage and direct water AWAY instead of allowing it to collect!

✅ Installed steel rebar reinforcement for added structural strength.

✅ Poured a beautiful new driveway at 4.5–5 inches thick!

Folks, this wasn't just a concrete job. This was a drainage correction, elevation correction, and complete driveway reconstruction ALL IN ONE!

And THAT is what sets us apart!

❤️ What a blessing it is to get to be a blessing to someone else! 116' lifetime-warrantied basement waterproofing drain system complete!🙏

And this one right here is exactly why we do what we do!

23+ YEARS! That's how long this homeowner had been living with a wet basement. Over two decades of dealing with water intrusion, frustration, and wondering if she'd ever have a dry basement again.
To make matters worse, she had received quotes from other companies approaching $30 and $40,000 to address her problems!
But here's where this story gets me.
This homeowner also told me that she had prayed to God for someone anointed to help her with her problems. The very next day at church, a lady told her about Cornerstone Foundation and Waterproofing!!
We have been blessed to pray with her daily, and we invited her to join our crew for our morning prayers.
As we began installing our full wall panel system, we invited this sweet homeowner downstairs to see the progress. She literally BURST INTO TEARS when she saw those beautiful white panels going up on her basement walls! ❤️
Not because the job was finished. Not because everything was perfect. But because, after 23 years, she was finally seeing something she'd waited so long for become a reality.
And let me tell you something. Moments like that will humble a man!
You see, to some people, this is just another basement waterproofing job. Another drain system. Another sump pump. Another paycheck.
But to us, this is somebody's HOME. This is somebody's peace of mind. This is somebody who's spent 23 years dealing with a problem and finally has hope that things are going to be different!
This wasn't an easy installation either!

And here's what made this installation especially challenging.
This basement had multiple structural support beams along the foundation walls. Before we could install our drainage system, each individual beam had to be properly pinned and secured to protect the structural integrity of the home while we completed our work.
Because doing the job right means protecting what's already holding that home together!
But beyond all the digging, concrete, drainage, and structural work, what I'll remember most about this project is the tears in that homeowner's eyes.
I tell my guys all the time, we're not just out here installing waterproofing systems. We're serving families. We're helping people protect what they've worked their entire lives to have.
And sometimes God allows us to be part of something that means far more to someone than we could ever imagine.
I'm so incredibly grateful for this homeowner trusting us with her home, and I'm thankful for the hardworking men at Cornerstone who continue to take pride in what they do.

🏗️💪 THIS WEEK AT CORNERSTONE FOUNDATION & WATERPROOFING! 💪🏗️
Different homes. Different problems. One mission — DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!

What a week it's been for our crew! From lifting and stabilizing foundations to repairing cracks and tackling another challenging basement waterproofing project, we've had our hands full! And we wouldn't have it any other way!
One thing I've learned throughout my 24 years in this industry is that no two foundations are exactly alike, and not every problem has a simple solution.

🔨 FOUNDATION LIFTING & STABILIZATION

This week, we installed a foundation pier system designed to lift and stabilize a settling structure. This isn't just about fixing what you can see. It's about addressing what's happening underneath and providing the support needed to protect the structure for years to come.

🧱 CONCRETE, FOUNDATION & MASONRY CRACK REPAIRS

Not every crack is created equal, and not every crack should be repaired the same way!
Our crew tackled several different types of repairs this week, including:
✅ Hydraulic cement repairs
✅ Professional brick tuckpointing
✅ Self-leveling concrete crack filler
✅ Foundation crack repairs
Understanding WHY something cracked is just as important as knowing HOW to repair it!

💧 ANOTHER CHALLENGING BASEMENT WATERPROOFING PROJECT UNDERWAY!

We also began installing a new interior basement drainage system this week, and this one comes with its own unique challenges!
This basement has numerous structural steel beams installed along the foundation walls.
Rather than working around them improperly or compromising their support, we're taking the time to properly pin and support each beam as we progress through the installation.
This project also involves:
✅ Installing our interior drainage system
✅ Properly addressing structural supports throughout the process
✅ Drilling weep holes to help relieve trapped water within the block walls
✅ Mold remediation
✅ Preparing the foundation for a complete waterproofing solution
Sometimes the most important work we do is the work nobody will ever see once the concrete is poured back!
And that's exactly why doing things correctly matters so much to us. Stay tuned for the final photos next week of this complete makeover!

💧 135 FEET OF LIFETIME-WARRANTY BASEMENT WATERPROOFING! 💧

Another wet basement taken care of the right way.
This homeowner was dealing with years of moisture intrusion around the foundation walls and along the floor/wall joint. Instead of trying to cover up the problem, we installed a complete 135' interior basement waterproofing drain system designed to collect that water and safely carry it away.

We opened the perimeter, installed the drainage system, tied everything into the sump system, installed our full wall-panel system to direct wall moisture into the drain, and finished everything back off with fresh concrete.

And the best part? This system comes with our LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY. 💯
Those before-and-after pictures speak for themselves. This isn't painting over water stains or putting a band-aid on a wet basement. It's giving the water a controlled path to go so the basement can stay dry.

ANOTHER BIG ONE COMPLETE! 💪🏼🏠
This project was not for the faint of heart.

Underneath this old home was a massive 8"x8"x48' timber main support beam that had failed. Before we could rebuild it correctly, we had to dig this crawlspace out by hand just to create enough working room to tackle the structural repairs.
Once we had access, our crew removed that massive failed 48' timber and rebuilt the support system underneath this home.

🔨 Scope of work included:
Complete crawlspace dig-out
Removal of the failed 8"x8"x48' timber main support beam
✊️Installation of a new 48' 8"x8" main support beam staggered and secured with 30 10" carriage bolts
Ledgers secured using 5" lag bolts
💪🏻9 permanent adjustable steel piers
👷‍♂️9 new 18"x18"x10" reinforced concrete footings with added rebar
🧽mold remediation
Full v***r barrier installation
🪨Stone masonry restoration at the corner where the foundation had failed
🚧 installation of a new crawlspace entryway

There was no easy way around this one. It took digging, demolition, structural work, concrete, masonry, moisture control and a whole lot of hard work in some extremely tight conditions.
But that's what I'm proud of about our crew. We don't just make something look better—we address what's actually happening underneath the home and do our best to build it back the right way.

WHEN THE EASY WAY ISN’T THE RIGHT WAY… WE DIG. 💪🏼
This week has been one for the books at Cornerstone Foundation and Waterproofing, LLC !
When we first entered this crawlspace, we were working with only about 4–6" inches of clearance in most areas. There simply wasn’t enough room to properly access the structure or perform the work this home needs.

Other companies looked at this project and proposed going through the floors from above, a much more invasive approach that would have added tens of thousands of dollars to the cost for this family.

We saw another way.
So our crew got underneath this house with small shovels, a sled, determination, and a whole lot of patience. Load by load, we excavated the crawlspace by hand, pulling dirt out until we created approximately 18 inches of working clearance so we can now access the areas that need attention and continue the project properly.
There was nothing glamorous about this one.
Long days. Tight quarters. Dirt from head to toe. Digging while lying on your stomach and side. Filling a sled, dragging it out, dumping it, crawling back underneath, and doing it all over again.
But look at the difference.

This is exactly why experience matters. Sometimes the answer isn’t tearing a homeowner’s house apart. Sometimes it takes slowing down, thinking differently, and being willing to do the hard work that somebody else doesn’t want to do.

I’m incredibly proud of my crew for tackling this one. Nobody complained. Nobody looked for a shortcut. They simply put their heads down and WORKED.

And the best part?
The excavation is only the beginning. Now that we finally have access, we can move forward with the work this crawlspace actually needs.
We don’t claim every project is easy.
We just refuse to let hard be the reason we won’t do it.

💧 ANOTHER BASEMENT PROTECTED FOR LIFE!
This week the Cornerstone crew knocked out another complete basement waterproofing transformation!
We installed a 116' lifetime-warrantied basement waterproofing drain system and mold remediation giving this homeowner a permanent solution designed to manage water where it belongs, before it ever becomes a problem inside the basement.
This project included a Zoeller primary sump pump PLUS a Zoeller battery-backup system for added protection if the power goes out during a storm. ⚡🌧️ We also installed two new glass-block basement windows, helping clean up the exterior while providing a durable, low-maintenance upgrade.
And just look at those finished walls and clean perimeter! 👀🔥

💥 126 FEET OF CRAWLSPACE WATERPROOFING DONE RIGHT! 💥
Another big transformation completed this week by Cornerstone Foundation and Waterproofing, LLC !This crawlspace needed more than a quick cover-up. Years of debris left behind by previous workers had accumulated underneath this home, so before we could improve it, we cleaned it out from end to end. Then we went to work building a complete system designed to manage both groundwater and moisture.
This project included:
• 126' crawlspace waterproofing drain system
• Corrugated drainage pipe & sump pit
• Zoeller sump pump
• New discharge line
• Major crawlspace cleanout & debris removal
• Full v***r barrier installation
• ALORAIR Bluetooth dehumidifier for active humidity control
Water below the home can create problems that eventually affect the entire structure. Our goal isn't to hide moisture problems, it's to address where that moisture is coming from and give it somewhere to go.
And these are the jobs people don't always see. Tight spaces. Dirt. Insulation hanging everywhere. Crawling on your stomach for hours. Hauling debris out piece by piece.
But that's exactly where quality matters.
