✨The exterior details that make a house feel like home✨

When designing your exterior space, here are a few key details to keep in mind.

1. Usage.
How do you want the space to feel? Is it designed for hosting, a morning coffee spot or quiet evenings? Deciding on those factors help tremendously when looking over your building prints.

2. Lighting, Switches and Outlets Placement.
Layered lighting is helpful in creating a space that feels warm and welcoming. If there are items that will be placed in the outdoor space, do they need to be plugged in or need additional space?

3. Furniture Size and Layout
When people are gathering in the areas is there enough space to move and eat without feeling crowded. Make sure the flow paths allow space to walk without interfering with seating areas.

4. Shade and Air Flow
Ceiling fans and covered areas make a difference in the middle of the blazing Ohio summer's. Planning for it before the build starts make a difference in comfort levels in the future.

5. Future Landscaping
The patio or porch space should feel like a natural extension of the house. That includes how the landscaping will be done around the space. Include those ideas when deciding how the flowerbeds or additional plants will be incorporated in the home design.
