Started in July 2022 and completed in Nov 2024.

This is my second time working with these Commercial-based clients. They had the vision to update the Exxon gas station's Convenience store with a modern facelift. Then took it up a notch by adding a modern and much needed Wendy's restaurant and drive-thru for Tunnel commuters and JC residents to enjoy.

After a 2 year undertaking the project's Expeditor, Carrie Craft efficiently obtained permits, facilitated updates, and smoothly closed out the project with a Certificate of Occupancy.

We welcome this fast food restaurant addition to DT JC.

We look forward to the grand opening, scheduled before 2025!

Originally built in the 1890s, this enchanting 2-story, single-family home underwent a complete restoration of the highest integrity. The Owner wanted to retain the home's heritage, so many of the original details including solid wood doors, porcelain door k***s, 7" moldings, trim, french oak, and 6" knotted pine floors have been lovingly brought back to life. The owner compliments remodel by adding period-correct pocket doors, fireplace mantle, and vent grates. The restoration also included modern electric, plumbing, central AC, Anderson windows, etc. The jewel-like parlor, has walnut-inlaid parquet floors and is adjoined by an alluring sunroom, dining room, and spacious family room. The bright, open kitchen is newly outfitted with a large skylight, stainless steel appliances, slide-in range, custom cabinetry with integrated pulls & quartz counter-tops. The storybook backyard, with deck and three-season room, is a sanctuary *rarely* found in an urban setting! Upstairs, with a restored mahogany banister and new skylight, the second level houses a bright, spacious master suite with an en-suite bathroom, plus an additional bedroom and bathroom. Bathrooms and powder rooms are adorned with slate tiles.

As the project's Expeditor, Carrie Craft efficiently obtained permits, facilitated updates, scheduled inspections, and within 7 months closed out the project with a Certificate of Occupancy. The Owner praised Carrie for her efficiency, professionalism, attention to follow up and communication throughout the project. The Client sold this new project a few months later!

This retro Hair Salon is situated in the heart of downtown Jersey City’s vibrant Powerhouse Arts District. The Hair Room JC is redefining the modern beauty salon with the look and feel of a vintage beauty parlor.

The salon fit-out is finished with timeless pieces of furniture and mementos. The minute you walk through to door you will feel like a welcomed guest into their "home"!

The client utilized my services as Expeditor/Construction Processing Agent to obtain required permits, schedule inspections, do updates, and obtain their CO. Despite delays and shutdowns during Covid, I was able to turn around the project in a few months!

The Client was elated to open for business and is a welcome addition to the Art District Neighborhood.

This boutique spa is situated in the heart of downtown Jersey City’s vibrant Powerhouse Arts District. The Spa is a modern CBD apothecary and wellness studio. The fit-out of this tranquil space makes you feel at peace the minute you walk through to door! The client retained my services as Expeditor/Construction Processing Agent to obtain required permits, which also included liaising with other agencies. In addition, I supported the GC with schedule inspections, obtaining updates, and closing out the project with a Cert of Occupancy, so client could open for business. Despite delays and shutdowns during Covid, I was able to turn around the project in just a few months! The business is a huge success and well received by the community! And I trust me, the massages are heavenly!

This is Lackawana Cafe's Second location in DT, JC. Their newest location is located in the ground floor of the newly constructed, Art and modern inspired, Lively Apartments building, situated in the heart of downtown Jersey City’s vibrant Powerhouse Arts District. This modern, neighborhood Cafe offers a unique selection of products as well as Coffee, tea, and treats! It is the perfect complement to its neighbor, Nimbus Dance Art center, located in an adjoining commercial space. The client retained my services as Expeditor/Construction processing Agent to obtain required permits to CO, while also liaising with other agencies. Despite delays and shutdowns during Covid, I was able to facilitate a quick 10-month turnaround! The Client is open and the business is thriving!

Started in December 2020 and completed in June 2021. Located in downtown Jersey City near the Grove Street Path Station, on Newark's revitalized restaurant row. This former Hardware store has been updated, while still retaining original building characteristics, to the Medly Pharmacy. This is the newest location add to the already impressive other NYC and Brooklyn locations for this organization. The client retained my services as Expeditor/Construction processing Agent to obtain required permits to CO to close out their project smoothly and efficiently. I also worked with other agencies, JCMUA, Passiac Valley, etc. to help get this project. In spite of Covid delays, I was able to facilitate a quick 6 month turn around and Client is scheduled to open soon!

I want to give credit and thanks to Erving Ortiz with JA Carpentry Inc, who worked with me to see this project to completion.

Started in June 2019 and completed in October 2020. This lovely 2 family home boasts a traditional brick facade that exudes old-world charm. On behalf of the owner, the project's Expeditor, Carrie obtained permits, facilitated updates, scheduled inspections, and transitioned the project to completion with a Certificate of Occupancy. This allowed the interior to undergo several renovation transformations to showcase the owner's own signature touches. Even the private rear deck got a facelift! The family is very happy with Carrie's expertise to move this project across the finish line, so they could move in and enjoy their newly renovated home!

Started in December 2017 and completed in October 2020. These connected homes are 2 family homes each. They both were complete gut renovations and were renovated by the same developer. Carrie was brought on board as Expeditor and to use her attention to detail, follow up and efficiency helped to swiftly obtain the necessary closeout documents for both projects! The Owner was very excited to see the project brought to completion in such a quick timeframe! These 2 homes feature modern, sleek interiors and unique wall applications that are sure to appeal to their new buyers!

Covid has not slowed down construction or the need for my Expeditor services. Projects pending Board approval are now ramping up. Migration from NYC and Other areas to JC has prompted purchases in all areas of JC... so renovations are up! I currently have 35-40 projects in the works! But due to my time management skills and organization, and some at the closing out/CO stage, I have it under control. I liaison on my Client’s behalf to Submit to Building and Zoning depts for permits, meet with Inspectors at Building Dept, Historical, etc. to deal with Denial, plan review or other Tasks ie: Pick up Permits, Schedule Inspections, Saturday permits, Filling out Forms/Paperwork, Reviewing Plans, Utility submissions, Parking signs, etc.
