Just a friendly reminder 🄶 ā„ļø

Here are a few tips to help prevent your pipes from freezing with this frigid cold weather!

-Disconnect all garden hoses
-Maintain heat 55 degrees or higher, even when away
-If possible, insulate pipes in places with no heat(crawl space, basement, garage etc.)
-Keep kitchen sink & vanity cabinet doors open to let warm air reach pipes
-Allow a slow drip on faucets, especially those on exterior walls or far from heat source, to keep water moving
-Know where your water shut off is, in the event you do have a pipe freeze and burst

And as always, give us a call and we will do our best to help! Stay warm!

With the frigid temperatures this week 🄶 we just wanted to remind everyone of some tips to help prevent frozen pipes

-keep furnace set at the same temperature during both day & night
-open cabinet doors underneath sinks
-let inside faucets drip with a small trickle
- if able, insulate pipes in crawl space/basement

And as always, if you do unfortunately find yourself with frozen or busted pipes, you can give us a call and we will do what we can to help!

Stay warm and be safe!

PSA for the cold weather that is heading this way !! Apparently the temperatures will be dropping in the next few days. Here are a few tips to keep in mind....
Keep garage doors closed, especially if there are water supply lines in the garage.
Open kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors to allow warmer air to circulate around the plumbing, especially if your sinks are on an exterior wall. (If you have small children, be sure to remove any harmful cleaners and household chemicals.)
Let the cold water drip from a faucet served by exposed pipes.
Running water through the pipe—even at a trickle—helps prevent pipes from freezing.
Keep the thermostat set to the same temperature during day and night. Again, during a cold snap is not the time to set back the thermostat at night to save a few bucks on your heating bill.
If you plan to be away during cold weather, leave the heat on in your home, set to a temperature no lower than 55° F.
For the long term, add insulation to attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Insulation will maintain higher temperatures in those areas. And to prevent drafts, seal cracks and openings around windows, doors, and at sill plates, where the house rests on its foundation.

Happy Friday everyone! ā˜ŗļø

Last up for our guys is, Cody! He’s married to his high school sweetheart, Ashley, and together they have two kiddos! He wouldn’t ever let you know it but he’s a softie and cares about more than he leads on!

His knowledge of the plumbing field started in the supply house, where he worked for many years before he joined the family business! If he’s done work for you then you know he knows his stuff!

I hope everyone has recovered enough from that long weekend, just in time for this weekend šŸ˜„

Next up for our meet the crew is this fella!

Cole is the baby of the family but has been with the company from the very start! He is married to the sweetest girl, Anna, and they just recently welcomed their first little one in June!

If you’ve had the chance to meet him then you know he has biggest heart and would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it! Our family wouldn’t be complete without him and neither would MAC Plumbing! šŸ’™

We are trying to be better about our lack of social media presence so I figured why not introduce our crew, starting with this guy!

Most of you know him as Mike (owner) but I and the other two plumbers call him Dad!
He’s been married to our mom, Livy, for 30 years! He’s a proud Papa of 5 littles who adore him and outside of work you can usually find him riding his SxS or hanging out in his garage!

He’s the most trustworthy and honest man there is! We are pretty lucky to have him and of course this company wouldn’t exist without him! ā¤ļø
