Curious about printed quartz? See the difference ➡️
Traditional quartz is an engineered surface made by combining natural quartz minerals with resins, pigments, and other materials under controlled manufacturing conditions.
Unlike natural stone, quartz is manufactured to offer a highly consistent appearance, along with excellent durability, low porosity, and easy maintenance, making it a popular choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and other high-use spaces.
Printed quartz takes engineered stone a step further.
Instead of relying solely on pigments mixed throughout the material to create its appearance, advanced digital printing technology is used to apply a high-resolution image directly onto the quartz surface. This allows slabs to reproduce the intricate veining, movement, and depth found in natural stones with remarkable precision.
Since the pattern is printed onto the surface of the quartz slab, it is not through-body. The edges remain a solid color, so a mitered edge is recommended for a seamless, uniform look.
From iconic quartzite-inspired designs to bold, artistic patterns, printed quartz opens up an entirely new world of possibilities for countertop design!
