Open concept has been a major trend in recent years and continues to be desired by many homeowners. Removing interior walls allows light to permeate through the house and can create a sense of openness and make your space appear larger. Social interaction increases and keeping an eye on the kids while cooking or doing other duties becomes much easier! 😊 Here are a few before and after photos. A wooden beam/header was later added to the ceiling between the two rooms to finish it off.

Also, arched doorways are a characteristic of a lot of older homes. These doorways received a modernized makeover.

We have been super busy this summer and realized it had been awhile since we posted. Here are a few pictures of a basement remodel. A wall separating two rooms was removed to really provide a spacious living area. Adding recessed lighting with dimming options made it a comfy cozy space. Lots of family nights to be had in this room!
