When Karen noticed a section of her floor sagging, she gave Frontier a call.

After inspecting the crawl space, our team installed SmartJacks to restore support and stabilize the floor. By the time the project was complete, the floor felt solid again and Karen felt confident enough to trust us with another home she owns.

When Reed moved into his new home in Gallatin, he wanted to make sure the crawl space was in good shape. During the inspection, our design specialist found standing water around the perimeter and piers, high humidity levels, and mold growing on the wood joists.

To help protect the home long-term, our team soda blasted the mold from the joists, installed a drainage system to address the water intrusion, and encapsulated the crawl space with drainage matting and CleanSpace liner. We also sealed the crawl space vents with SilverGlo insulation panels and RimTite foam to help keep outside humidity from entering the space.

The difference between these before and after photos is a great reminder that some of the biggest problems in a home can be hidden below the floor.

Many crawl spaces provide exactly what pests are looking for: moisture, food sources, and protection from the weather. Once one type of pest moves in, others often follow.

That's why when we inspect crawl spaces, we're not just looking for critters. We're looking for the conditions that attracted them in the first place.

A dry, properly protected crawl space can help reduce moisture, limit food sources, and make the space less appealing to unwanted guests.

Forecasters are predicting the 2026 hurricane season to be a below-normal season with 8 to 14 storms between June 1 and November 30 for the Atlantic basin. But before you get too excited, forecasters expect 3 to 6 of those storms to become hurricanes and 1 to 3 of those forecast as major hurricanes,

While Tennessee is landlocked, our neighboring states to our south and east would be directly affected if a hurricane or tropical storm were to come ashore. Unfortunately, the high winds and flooding associated with hurricanes would negatively impact Tennesseans.

Ahead of the start of hurricane season (June 1, 2026), we're urging Tennesseans to familiarize themselves with their insurance policies, updating them as needed to keep up with changing needs. We also urge Tennesseans to remember that flood insurance is an increasingly important tool for homeowners to have.

While flooding can't be prevented, you can take steps today to become more financially in the event of a hurricane. How? By purchasing or renewing your flood insurance is one of the most important steps a homeowner can take to financially prepare for a disaster.

Remember: Just one inch of water in the average-sized home can cause more than $25,000 in damage.
