Sometimes you just have to think ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐›๐จ๐ฑ! That was the case with this bathroom that we just finished up a couple of weeks ago.

The existing bathroom was small, tight and narrow, thanks to lots of awkward roof lines in an already small space. We gutted the entire bathroom and then removed a secondary stairwell to the first floor(as part of kitchen remodel that we did in tandem), and then combined the old stairwell space with the existing bathroom, an adjacent hallway and an adjacent closet. We were then able to maximize the space much better and even add a fair amount of ceiling height to the new bathroom!

Once the new space was all opened up, in a collaborative effort between us, the customers and the designers at New Creation Kitchen, Bath and Flooring, we were able to come up with a layout and a flow that actually incorporated the previously awkward roof angles into something that instead added modern flare and character.

We then dove into it, reworking all of the plumbing and electrical to work with the new layout and then we put it all back together. I would say the end result is a beautiful new bathroom that is unrecognizable from the original one! Great job to Greg and James for this labor of love!

These are hands down the ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐›๐ž๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ photos we've ever had from a project!

Some of you may remember that video updates that we were posting last summer from a project that we endearingly named "The Overhaul." It was the single largest transformation, both inside and out, that we've ever had the opportunity to do! We wrapped this project up at the end of last year but completely forgot to even share it!

For the exterior, we tore the roof off of the existing garage and built a 900 square foot master suite addition. We tore off the entire main roof and added some overbuilds for character, as well as removing the entire covered front porch area.

All of the soffit, fascia and siding was removed and we installed all new CertainTeed Restoration Millworks composite fascia, skirtboards and banding. All of the windows were replaced (many of them relocated and enlarged) with all new Marvin windows with CertainTeed Restoration Millworks exterior trim.

We then installed all new (over 50 squares) CertainTeed Cedar Impressions siding on the entire house. The perfect defining feature to complete the whole aesthetic was the custom barrel-vaulted front porch gable roof.

A tremendous amount of time and detail went into the planning and ex*****on of the exterior makeover! We'd like to give a huge shoutout to the customer, who came to us with a very specific vision, having planned out exact dimensions, locations, styles and even products, in every little detail that you see.

This one really was a whole group effort by C&K as a team to bring this one to life but a special shoutout to Pete and Luke for being the main driving force behind it. Photos would never do the craftsmanship justice on this one.

Stay tuned for all of the interior before and afters. Those are equally as dramatic!
