Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a clean, valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to safely operate power equipment such as trimmers, power
saws, and commercial grade mowers.
• Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs. without assistance.
• Must be able to stand and/ or move constantly during a shift.
• Must have knowledge of general landscaping practices and techniques.
o Preferred:
-High School or College Graduate
- 1+ years of experience in outdoor maintenance.
Job Description/Summary:
• At ATask Landscaping, we are looking for a Landscape Crew Leader. The crew leader will lead a crew of 1-3 other persons. The crew leader must be reliable and responsible, have good communication skills, and have good time management. They also have strong knowledge of basic lawn maintenance and pay high attention to detail and demonstrate excellent organizational skills. The leader operates large equipment such as trucks, tractors, or skid-steers. This person also typically performs a variety of other tasks, which typically may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, hedge trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, installation of hardscapes and/ or softscapes and general outdoor property maintenances.
Essential Job Functions:
• Cut turf using various sized commercial mowers.
• Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the
shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flower beds.
• Properly and safely operate trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees,
buildings, fences, and other objects.
• Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic matter when mowing.
• Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe.
• Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers and co-
workers.
• Maintaining and servicing equipment such as blade sharpening, oil changes, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
