Good Afternoon All,
We hope everyone is doing well and wanted to provide an update on what Farm Hill Builders has been doing and what our future holds.
As many of you know, this business was started for Evan to continue the work he loves so dearly and most importantly, allow for more time as a family. We've come to recognize the current work within residential building and remodeling is not supporting the goals and missions FHB had in mind when starting the business back up. We have had some wonderful clients throughout these past two years and have encountered others on the opposite end that have directly and negatively impacted our family. Evan's devotion to everyone and their projects has taken away from the initial goal - more time spent as a family. With small businesses, I know that it is easy to forget that those who run them have families, a life, hobbies, whatever it may be, outside of their business. With all this in mind, we have been expanding our commercial work and have some really fantastic clients within these commercial projects - The UVM Medical Center being our biggest and most active client. They value us personally, our business, our time, our invoices (that’s also a really important one 😂) and most importantly, our family. Because of the scope of this new work, we will no longer be accepting any residential jobs for the foreseeable future.
We encourage everyone to appreciate the small businesses you choose to do work with - Support them and their families. And most importantly, pay your bills so they can pay theirs and to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads.
Thank you for your understanding - if you see us at the medical center (or any of their satellite locations) or soccer games, dance classes, school events, gymnastics classes/meets, birthday parties - make sure to say hello.
We look forward to hopefully serving the residential field again in the future.
With gratitude,
The Giard Family
