To our family, friends, and followers:

Our hearts and prayers go out to the ones affected by the bad storms last night 🙏.
Over the years through storms we have seen Oklahomans come together and work together time and time again. Thats what it takes….we are better together. So lets be kind, be compassionate, be helpful, look out for our elderly, do what we say we are going todo and try to be extra patient. By doing so we will refresh others in a time that can be very overwhelming for those affected.

**Something to be aware of….

**If you have significant tornado damage it is definitely good to start a claim with your insurance company. If you had lots of quarter or bigger size hail and there is significant collateral damage (vehicles, personal property, etc) you also should start a claim however if your unsure, than do not start a claim. Call a roofer that you trust to give an honest assessment to inspect your roof first before you start a claim. They can let you know if its worth making a claim. If you do not know one call your insurance company to ask. Typically they will have a list of trusted roofers. Some insurance agents/companies will advise you the same but some will not. This will also free up the resources for the people most affected to get taken care of first.

**Beware of door to door roofing companies, trying to inspect your roof and pressure you to sign a contract. Unfortunately many times than not they will tell you you have damage and you really do not. I have seen this so many times over the years in this business. 

**Also you should never pay a contractor a large (or any if only a roof) amount of money upfront. This is a Red Flag. Reputable and financially stable companies do not require this.

We are renting out our lake house, True Blue in Carlton Landing with lake stay. If you haven’t been to Carlton Landing at lake Eufaula yet I promise you won’t believe you are in Oklahoma 🙌

It is a great time to rent because the prices are lower in the off season. You will love all the amazing amenities and the whole upscale experience is really special. The community was modeled after Seaside, Florida.

There is a beach 🏖 volleyball and all kinds of other games, a bar & restaurant, food trucks, live music, pop up shops, several pools, one with a hot tub. Even a beautiful new church!

The kids absolutely love it! So does Mom because they go do their thing and I lay around and read or kayak. You can rent a golf cart and cruise around the whole community and just check out the houses and great views.
