History of Superior Lawn Service

Superior Lawn is dedicated to being “The Greatest Service Company Available”. President and Founder Kenneth Crisp has been in the green industry for most of his life and continues to oversee the day to day operations of the Superior Lawn. Kenneth was taught at a young age by his father a work ethic second to none. Superior Lawn Service was built one lawn at a time

with hard work and total commitment to customer satisfaction and it still continues to this day. Kenneth’s father taught him at young age, “Do it right” and “Be the best at whatever you do”. Kenneth’s hands on experience paved the way and provided the knowledge to make Superior Lawn Service into the company it is today and live up to the motto:
“The Greatest Service Company Available”

Kenneth is a proud member, and has served on the board of directors for the ATA (Arkansas Turf grass Association). Since 1980 Superior Lawn Service has grown into 3 locations for your consideration in your lawn care needs. The Staff

The mangers and staff at Superior Lawn Service have years of experience and training in the green industry. John “Gee” Glover has been the general manager of Superior Lawn Service in Jonesboro Arkansas since 1997. Gee graduated from Arkansas State University with a Masters degree in Agronomy. Jones, Hunter McCann, Ty Bobbitt, and Jon Brock.

Today’s is the rare and eye-catching Letterman’s Ironw**d (Vernonia lettermannii), known for its fine, thread-like leaves and vibrant purple blooms.

Also called Iron Butterfly Ironw**d, this is a pollinator favorite, making it not just beautiful but also a conservation priority. Its showy, long-lasting summer blooms provide nectar to bees, butterflies, and even Hummingbird Moths (Hemaris spp.).

Native to west-central Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, Letterman’s Ironw**d is one of our rarest native ironw**ds. It naturally occurs in open, rocky or sandy areas near streams, where it withstands periodic flooding and summer drought.

Now is a great time to spot this beautiful species in bloom. Keep an eye out for them in places like Cossatot River State Park — Natural Area.
