Danny made some cheese today with our goats milk. We added some fresh garlic scape and strawberries from farmers market this morning. Put on organic saltines; I was so excited to find those, and drizzled with raw honey. It was so good!!

Molly had the flashiest buckling Saturday evening. Boy was he big! I thought she had twins for sure. Nope! 😂 He weighed in at 9 lbs 4.4 oz. He is gorgeous and meets the breed standard in every way. We have decided to name him Duke. He is sweet, curious and playful. He wants to meet the rest of the herd but Molly isn’t having it. We took them over to the rest of the herd on Monday to see how she’d do. She wasn’t having it, so I took them back to the kidding pen. Tuesday morning I tried again. They stayed all day and did good. By evening she was hollering for me to take them back. I did as we had some heavy rains and more was expected throughout the night. I didn’t want him accidentally getting wet. I’ve never put her back this early after birthing, however I wanted her to have access to fresh ground. I’ll keep at it until a week, then she’ll have to sort it out. 😂

Anna our FF MN gave birth to twins yesterday. A doeling and a buckling. She’s doing ok. Unsure of everything. Cleaned up the babies and letting them nurse just fine. She’s constantly sniffing them and everything around her. This is new for her and us.

This is Marcus. He is our Kinder buck. He is the Sire of Chew & Han, Holly, Yoda & Blossom. He gave us some nice looking kids this year. This was our first time breeding him and Kinder’s. He is turning out to be a big Kinder. He’s even bigger now. It’s a horrible time to take pictures, as he’s in rut. He’s gotten himself pretty dirty! I’m new to the rut season too. Not real fond of it! 😂
I’ll post updated photos after rut season is over and he’s cleaned up a bit! The second picture is a couple months ago.
