The most important job on the crew? Watching the pipe move… and talking about it on the radio.

But seriously, there’s more to it than standing there with a walkie-talkie.

As the pipe is being pulled back, the crew is communicating to monitor the pull, watch for anything unusual, and make sure the installation stays on track. Good communication helps prevent damage to the pipe, equipment, and everything else around the work area.

So yes… he’s just standing there, but he’s also paying attention to a whole lot more than it looks like.

Good communication = a smoother, safer pull.

Monthly Employee Appreciation Breakfast at the Yard!

We had our monthly breakfast at the yard this month. We were missing quite a few of our team members this morning, but we still had a good group together.

This month’s menu was Casey’s pizza and, of course, Red Bull.

It’s always nice to take a break from the work, get everyone together, and have a little time to catch up.

At Capital Technologies, we believe in people first. Our team is the reason we can keep growing, keep pushing forward, and keep getting the job done.

We appreciate every one of you. Thank you for the hard work, the long days, and always getting it done.

Scott continues to show up, work hard, and be someone the team can count on. His dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to get the job done do not go unnoticed.

Scott’s supervisor and colleagues describe him as someone who has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years and is highly knowledgeable and experienced in the field. He is a very skilled equipment operator, one of our best leaders, and always willing to teach and share his knowledge with others. As his colleagues say, Scott has taught all of us a thing or two over the years.

Scott is also known for being very easygoing, having a goofy and funny personality that keeps things light, and being a great person to work with. He is someone the team can always depend on.

Answer: Directional drilling! Our crews use this equipment to install underground conduit and fiber with minimal surface disruption.

Pretty cool, right? There’s a lot more behind your internet connection than you might think.
