First Sprinkler Startup in a LONG Time 💧🌱
After repairing the damaged mainline and valve wiring, it was finally time for the first full system startup and test cycle.
A few zones immediately showed problems… but not because the sprinkler heads were broken.
Several rotor heads were completely grown over with grass and soil, preventing them from popping up correctly. When this happens, the head stays stuck underground while water floods around it, usually creating a wet spot or small swamp area in the lawn.
We tracked down the problem areas, cleared around the rotor heads, and got the zones operating correctly again.
This is a super common issue on systems that haven’t been run regularly or where turf has slowly crept over the heads over time.
