We love post from BPD and these great tips for beating the heat!! 🥵😎

Glenn Frey was right when he sang “The Heat is On”… and Texas? Oh, the heat is soooo on, it’s dried up the Hulen Street crossing and turned it into a full-blown desert.

Camels are moving in, lizards are unpacking, and the only thing flooding right now is the sweat from stepping outside.

As those temps soar into the triple digits, let's talk about Heat Safety ...because while we love a good laugh, this kind of heat is no joke:

Stay Safe in the Heat:
Hydrate constantly. Water is your best friend. Sip it all day long, even if you’re not thirsty. Avoid sodas and alcohol.

Avoid peak heat hours (10am–4pm). Plan yard work, walks, or workouts for early morning or after the sun chills out.

Dress smart. Lightweight, light-colored clothing, hats, and sunglasses are key. And don’t skip the SPF!

Take breaks. Whether you're mowing or moving, rest in the shade or A/C regularly.

Check on others. Especially elderly neighbors, young kids, and outdoor workers.

Know the signs.

Heat Exhaustion: heavy sweating, weakness, nausea

Heat Stroke: confusion, dry/hot skin, fainting - this is an emergency, call 911 immediately

Burleson, let’s be real! This isn’t just hot. It’s camel-crossing, skull-in-the-sand, “I miss February” hot.

Our hearts are heavy after the devistation on the Texas Hill Country from the flooding this weekend We are praying for the families and communities impacted by this tragedy, as well as the first responders still performing search and rescue.
