Unfortunately this can often lead to movement of underground electrical utility conduits. Our client’s electrical meter had to be reattached to the home because of these factors.

Sometimes adding new electrical circuits can be difficult if an existing electrical panel is full with no breaker spaces available.
Often, after considering the total calculated loads, a sub panel can be added to create new electrical circuit space for future growth.

We recently installed branch circuit wiring and outlets for a patio infrared heater with a remote. It’s amazing how much heat these radiate. It’s nice to know their patio area can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Recently I replaced some small pendant light fixtures over a kitchen island with heavier chandelier type fixtures. Often builders will install plastic cut-in outlet boxes in these areas after the fact because it’s difficult to locate the center of the island during the rough-in stage of construction before the island is built. The plastic boxes often used only attach to the Sheetrock ceiling and not the wood framing structure.
I took pictures from inside the attic to explain why these boxes are not sufficient to hold the weight of heavier chandelier type fixtures.
I replaced the plastic boxes with metal ceiling fan rated lighting outlets able to hold up to 70 lbs.

This exterior fan is a nice addition for a patio, especially with the type of weather we’ve been having.

We changed out an unused dryer outlet and made into a more usable GFCI / receptacle combo. This gave more usable power in a shop garage work area. Often existing wiring can be better utilized by changing out outlets and breakers.

New exterior soffit downlights are an excellent way to brighten up dark areas for security and add a nice decorative touch.
