Another one finished up today! 🔥
We brought this concrete floor back to life with proper surface preparation, crack repair, and a V8 Hybrid XT clear topcoat.
Instead of covering up the character of the concrete, the clear finish brings out the natural aggregate and gives the floor a deep, clean shine while adding protection.
Prep ➡️ Repair ➡️ Protect ➡️ Finished.

🔥 DRIFTWOOD & CABANA — FINISHED! 🔥
Remember all that prep work from our last post? Here’s what it was all for.
This outdoor concrete space is officially finished with a custom Driftwood & Cabana pigment blend, and these two colors came together beautifully.
The blend created warm copper and earthy tones with darker movement throughout the floor. Depending on the lighting and the angle, you’ll catch something a little different across the entire surface.
That’s what we love about working with pigments — the movement and variation make every floor unique.
From mechanically prepared concrete to a completely transformed outdoor living space. 🔥

Well, today was one of those days. 😂
Made a rookie mistake today — and the worst part is, I knew better. 🤦‍♂️
Definitely pi**ed me off, but that’s part of it. We’re all human, things happen, and sometimes you just have to own it, fix it, and start again.
Back at square one, but we’ll be back at it first thing tomorrow morning.
Can’t win every day. 😂 Tomorrow’s a new one.
Stay tuned — this Driftwood & Cabana floor is still going to turn out 🔥.

🔥 **PROGRESS UPDATE — IT’S ALL IN THE PREP!** 🔥

We’re making great progress on this concrete coating project, and right now we’re working through one of the most important parts of the entire job — **surface preparation and repairs.**

We started by mechanically grinding the concrete to remove the old material, contaminants, and weak surface areas while opening up the concrete for proper coating adhesion.

We’ve also **cut and opened up the existing cracks** so they can be properly cleaned and filled instead of simply coating over them. Any damaged, deteriorated, or uneven areas are being addressed with **hot patch and repair material** before the coating system goes down.

Still on the list:

🔹 Fill and repair the opened cracks
🔹 Hot patch damaged and deteriorated areas
🔹 Finish the detailed edge and corner grinding
🔹 Clean and vacuum the entire surface
🔹 Final inspection before coatings begin

You can already see the difference between where we started and the clean, mechanically prepared concrete we have now.

**A coating is only as good as the surface underneath it.** We don't believe in hiding cracks and problem areas under a new floor — we put the work into the preparation first.

Once the repairs and final grinding are finished, this floor will be ready for its new **Driftwood & Cabana** coating system. 🔥

The fun part is coming next. Stay tuned for the transformation!

Another one wrapped up in **Wayland!** 🔥

We got this deck cleaned up and finished with a beautiful **Cedar stain**. Really love how the color brought the wood back to life and looks with those black balusters!

We shared a bunch of the process in our stories, and now here’s the finished product. 💪

A little before & after on this stairway and upstairs hangout area! 🎨🔥

Freshened up the walls and gave the whole space a cleaner, brighter look. Came out NICE! 👌

But a good paint job isn’t just about what you see when it’s finished — it’s also about protecting what’s already there. We covered the floors, used **self-adhesive carpet protection film on the stairs**, laid down drop cloths, and made sure everything stayed protected while we worked.

Might take a little extra time, but that’s part of doing the job right. 💯

Got to do something a little different today! 🎨🔥

First time ever painting a custom logo, and this is how it turned out for **Limitless Kzoo**. 💪

Definitely something different from the everyday painting work, and I enjoyed the opportunity to switch things up and do something creative. That black and red came out clean! 🔥

Always good adding something new to the toolbox. First one down… definitely won’t be the last. 😎
