One tree. Two victims.

This maple on Elizabeth Street in Kalamazoo came down hard, landing on the vehicle in the driveway and punching straight through the roof of the house. You can see the hole it left behind. That is not just shingles, that is decking and framing exposed to the elements.

Oak Forest Circle in Kalamazoo - fitting name for a job like this.

A massive oak came down and buried this home completely. You can barely find the roofline in some of these photos. We brought in the Teupen spider lift to carefully work through the canopy and get the tree off the structure piece by piece without causing any additional damage.

This one was close.

This tree in Paw Paw, MI snapped right off the trunk during the storm and came straight down on the house, punching holes through the roof. Look closely at that trunk and you can see why: the inside was completely rotted out. The tree looked fine from the outside but had nothing left holding it together.

This is exactly why a tree that looks healthy is not always safe. Once we got it removed and the debris cleared, the homeowner could finally start on repairs.
