From the Ground Up

Rock Solid Surfaces was born in the late 2000’s. The exact date is unknown. Somewhere along the way of being a self-employed contractor, the owner was tasked with producing some prefabbed granite countertops for an apartment complex where other work was being done. Not one to shy away from a challenge, the task was undertaken. From grinding sink cutouts, outside, through the winters, to wearing gloves to keep the sun-absorbed granite from burning skin, to unloading slabs in a front yard, to having a single hose to use for all the saws and polishers, to making contact with the first tool suppliers, to meeting potential customers at our first home show, to purchasing our first “real saw”, to improved material handling, to importing our own material, to purchasing our first CNC router, to moving into our current location with over 12,000 sqft...the journey has made us who we are. But we never forget where we came from and thank all the fantastic customers we’ve met along the way.
