About two months ago, I started using Cloaked to help with all the spam calls, emails and messages on my phone. Well, as much as I enjoyed the software catching spam calls, I had a lot of potential customers that either hung up or left messages describing their frustration with an AI answering service.
I'm not an advocate for AI, but I am curious about and trying to understand how it works, along with finding it as a tool to help with my small business.
In a nutshell, I've halted my use of Cloaked for the time being until I find a way to w**d out the spam from actual calls from customers.

Ran into a issue with a 2014 Chevt Silverado. Customer called about making a key and found out the one key they had was lost. I removed the steering wheel cover, removed the ignition cylinder, used the blind code to cut the HU100 key. Key works great on the door, but not the ignition switch. What do you think has heppened?

As much as I hate to admit when I get defeated by a lock, It keeps me humble in knowing I'm only human. Automotive locks and ignition switches are different beasts, and as with anything, take special tools and skills to pick, remove, and service. My latest was a 2007 Chevy Suburban. Not a high security key, but more difficult to remove. After two hours, I decided to give in and refer the customer to a more experienced locksmith I have on speed dial in case I get stuck. I didn't charge him a dime. The time spent on this is just a reminder that no one knows it all, and I need more training and tools to overcome future all keys lost issues.

Thanks to all of you that have messaged me and called the last couple of week's. It's been hot and busy. I have a couple of special projects in the works and still trying to take emergency calls for lockouts and rekeying homes.
If I haven't returned your call or message, I deeply apologize. I am still employed with Rowan-Cabarrus Community College as thir locksmith/ building technician during the day. So, most of my side work is done after 5pm.
I'm just a one man business, gearing up for my retirement so I can stay busy and serve my community. Thank-you again for your continuing support ❤️

Good Morning Everyone.

Quick up date: I've just started using the Cloaked app on my Android to start catching spam calls and all the other things it claims to do.
So far, my spam calls have 99.99 percent stopped. I am utterly delighted about this since it was becoming a huge distraction in my life and small business.
With that being said, when you call, you may get an automated response asking for your name and what your call is pertaining to, especially if you're a first time caller.
I've tired to vet everyone else in my contact list so it will ring on through.
