One of the first steps in our SOP is the clean and yes, it happens before we remodel.

We don’t paint, repair, or renovate in dirt and grime. Too often we’re asked to repaint entire spaces that are coated in dust and debris, with no budget allocated for proper cleaning beforehand. That’s not how quality work happens. So either we clean It or it comes clean.

If we’re awarded a full remodel, the clean comes first. We start in a clean space and keep it clean throughout the project. That ensures our work isn’t compromised and the final delivery isn’t permanently mixed with grime.

One of the very first things we do is sprinkle baking soda to begin neutralizing old odors before any work starts.

I had the opportunity to tour Zephyr, and I was genuinely impressed by the level of knowledge, precision, and innovation behind their work. Being able to walk through their process and ask real questions was valuable for me as a contractor. One of the biggest takeaways was learning more about electrostatic painting and how static electricity is intentionally used to improve paint application on metal surfaces. It’s always refreshing to be in rooms where the work isn’t just being done it’s being understood.

One of the things that stood out to me touring Zephyr was learning how electrostatic painting uses charged paint particles to wrap around grounded metal surfaces, reducing overspray and creating more consistent coverage. Seeing the science behind it how paint is literally pulled to the surface instead of drifting away reinforced why understanding the why behind the work matters. Growth in this industry doesn’t just come from repetition; it comes from learning better systems, asking better questions, and continuously sharpening your craft.
