And just like that, fall is upon us... and it's time to lay-up those garden beds for the winter, making it a perfect time to add compost to your soil.

The good news is after sitting idle since the end of August, she fired right up on the first try this morning… good old farm truck :-)

And now that I’m back after a couple weeks hiatus, Knee-Deep Services is ready to help you with your fall yard, garden, landscape, OR WHATEVER projects.

Now is the time to start thinking about your garden and landscape needs for autumn, overwintering and next spring… and knee-deep has got you covered!

Amending beds with compost is by far the best way to ensure happy microbes through the late season and into next year… and happy microbes lead to happy plants, flowers, trees, fruits and veggies 💚

Our truck can bring up to 2 yards of ZOO MANOO and dump pretty much anywhere you need it.

What’s ZOO MANOO?

It is 2 to 3 year old aged manure from animal habitat clean-out at the Kansas City zoo! It is black, rich and ready to go to work in your garden.

Delivered price is $90 for 1 yard, $160 for 2 yards.

Due to time constraints at the zoo facility, delivery is by appointment only Mondays and Fridays, with first delivery by noon, and second delivery by 3PM.

So now is the time to book your delivery before our calendar fills up! We currently have availability starting mid-September through October and into November.

A big thank you and shout-out to USA Duck Team in Kansas City Kansas for ordering a truckload to help continue landscaping their water fowl habitat!

I am sure mama, papa and all the baby ducklings are going to enjoy their new digs :-)

As a reminder, we have an outstanding supply of natural lime stone right now. Small, medium and large boulders available, sized as follows:

Sml… under 8”
Med… 8” - 16”
Lrg… 16” - 24”

If you are needing anything in excess of 24 inches let me know and I can survey the site to see exactly what’s available.

We cherry-pick each load to give you the best value for your specific project.

Obviously the smaller the stones, the greater the quantity you will receive. Likewise the larger the stones, the fewer in quantity.

Each load approximately 2000lbs, and $250 delivered up to 25 miles. Additional $2/mile over 25
