I can't say this enough you get what you pay for you might save 30 to 50 dollars but you end up spending more th a n that on unlocking the car when battery dies and your blade ain't cut then you end up having to have a real locksmith redo the job!
🔑 With locksmith service, you often get what you pay for.
We’re seeing more jobs where a locksmith shows up with a “universal” key that doesn’t match the vehicle’s key style. Some cars need a specific key shape to fit the ignition or programming slot. And the blade matters too: a Dodge-style blade won’t work in a Chevy just because it’s attached to a universal remote.
We recently went to a Nissan call where the customer had already waited four hours. The locksmith arrived with a Dodge-lookalike key, but this Nissan needed a key that fit its programming slot. The key’s shape was wrong, so the job couldn’t be completed with what he brought.
Before you book, ask whether the locksmith has the correct key for your make and model—and whether they can cut the door and ignition blade if needed. A low quote doesn’t help if the technician arrives without the right parts.
At Quick Keys, we work to bring the right key and equipment for the vehicle, so you can get back on the road. 🔑🚗
