We had a team compete in ABC Heart of America's Sporting Clays Tournament this week. They braved the heat to complete 100 rounds and had a great time. Thanks to our team for participating and ABC for hosting such a fun event!

We're getting ready to wrap up the Metro North location for Tiki Taco 🌮They have great food + cocktails so if you're in the Northland put them on your list of places to check out!

Tiki Taco has had plans to double its KC footprint. As part of that, the chain opened its first-ever Northland restaurant this week.

The KCMO City Hall building got a refresh this year: our contribution was providing new entrance storefront and auto sliders into a brand new vestibule entrance at the main entry of City Hall.

The crown jewel of this project is the new skylight system in the vestibule. Due to loading limitations with the new structure, the skylight system had to be self supporting. Because of the extra structural requirements, the system ended up being around 8,000 pounds- way too big to set by hand. We enlisted the help of the crane operator on site and had to have all the rafters hoisted into place on a Saturday as to not interfere with other trades working.

The job involved some tricky conditions and a lot of coordination to make sure that the new structure met the design intent to blend well with the existing building. Our crews did a great job (including working several weekends and after hours shifts) making sure this one got safely and on time.

We have two certified lift trainers on staff and it was time to update everyone's power industrial truck certifications this month. We did a hands on operations exam and function test and then we headed over to complete the classroom portion.

A big thank you to ABC Heart of America for allowing us to use a training room to get a full classroom and exam experience. It's a lot more fun to learn things in person with your peers!

Check out the brand new 8,800 square foot Ad Hoc Center for Healing and Justice! This is an amazing organization that was established in 1977 to help families impacted by crime navigate the courts, hospitals and crisis response as well as advocating for prevention and healing in the community. They serve around 700 families per year.

The new building represents a long term investment in KC's urban core. It houses a community hall, office spaces, training facilities and consultation rooms.

Our scope included curtainwall (with some really aesthetically pleasing corner rakes), storefront, aluminum doors and hardware, custom mirrors, and display cases. This was our foreman Levi's first project on his own start to finish and he did an incredible job!
