May has breezed by with designs, installations and the end of the school year. Last weekend we took a break to visit and this series of video and images are from our day Early June was full of blooms— multiple Echinacea, Monarda, Penstemon, and a GIANT Rudebekia that was new to me! And a Dwarf False Indigo— where do I find it?! I left full of inspiration and ideas for the next project!

🦋Butterfly garden success! 🐛 Pussytoes (Antennaria) are a host plant for the American Lady Butterfly, and why I’ve included this groundcover in my gardens! Pussytoes are a great groundcover for dry sunny locations. The caterpillars sew tents in the leaves to hide from predators.

Warm February days has us all itching to get out and our minds want to clean out these garden beds, but it’s still too early for pollinators. Resist the urge, embrace the mess, knowing you are supporting native bees, moths, butterflies and more! Take a walk instead, notice early spring plants that are beginning to emerge and wait to garden until mid March.
