Thinking about a new concrete driveway, but not sure what the process actually looks like? π€
A lot of homeowners are surprised by how smooth a concrete project can be when it's planned well.
Here's what you can expect:
β
Step 1: Consultation & Free Estimate
We come out, look at your space, and walk you through your options so you know exactly what you're getting and what it'll cost.
β
Step 2: Project Scheduling
Once you approve the estimate, we get you on the schedule. Timing varies based on weather and current workload here in KC.
β
Step 3: Site Preparation
We remove your old driveway (if needed), grade the area, and compact the base β this is the most critical step for long-term durability.
β
Step 4: Form Setting
Wooden forms are set to define the shape and ensure proper slope so water drains away from your home and garage.
β
Step 5: Concrete Pour
The concrete is delivered and poured in sections, leveled, and spread across the full surface πͺ
β
Step 6: Finishing
We smooth and texture the surface for a clean, consistent look and slip resistance.
β
Step 7: Curing
This is where durability is built. Concrete needs time to properly cure β rushing this step can lead to premature cracking.
Weather plays a real role in scheduling. Rain, heat, and temperature swings all factor into when we pour, so some flexibility on timing helps us get the best result.
