Last week, we installed some treated timber retaining walls as part of a drainage system. We started by removing the old concrete patio and replaced it with decorative river rock and 3 huge catch basins. These basins drain into a buried outdoor sump pump station with two 1/2 horsepower pumps, pumping water far away from their foundation.

Result: Better drainage, protected foundation, and a yard that’s ready for anything Missouri weather throws at it!

Earlier this month, we revitalized an old 30-foot dry creek bed by removing the rocks, regrading the original swale and installing fresh, long-lasting fabric underneath. The result? A clean, functional water pathway built to last.

🏡 Platte City, MO Project Complete!

Last Friday, we tackled drainage issues on the side of a home by replacing two window wells with 24" plastic wells and raising the soil grade for better runoff. We also installed 25 feet of our DoubleFlow French drain system with three 12" catch basins, along with downspout drains and dual discharge lines that emit through pop-ups in the front yard.

On a project we completed this week, we solved several drainage problems for a client to give them a dry yard and long-term peace of mind:

We just wrapped up a 2-day drainage transformation for a homeowner in Shawnee, KS! Their yard was holding water and the foundation was at risk... but not anymore! Here's what we did:

✅ Tied the sump pump discharge to our system and added a freeze-relief overflow for safer, hidden flow
✅ Rerouted gutter downspouts underground for a cleaner look and easier mowing (and even included debris filters for longevity)
✅ Installed three 12” catch basins (yard drains) and carefully graded the yard to direct surface water into them
✅ Laid down 40 feet of French drain to soak up subsurface water and keep the lawn healthy
