Each year, our Kansas City team hosts Apprentice Day, bringing together the next generation of skilled professionals for a day of hands-on learning, professional development, and industry engagement.

This year, we welcomed more than 60 apprentices who participated in interactive training, expanded their technical knowledge, and connected with experienced leaders and craft professionals. We're proud to help develop future talent and strengthen the workforce that drives our industry forward!

It's , and we're proud to recognize Lolon Timmons for being named an MCA-Omaha Safety All-Star.

At Cerris Systems, safety is more than a program — it's a part of our culture, built on accountability, trust, and looking out for one another. Lolon's commitment to creating a safe work environment, supporting his crews, and leading by example reflects the culture we're proud to build each day!

MCA-Omaha's Safety Committee is recognizing Lolon Timmons from Cerris Systems. Here is what Cerris's Safety Team Member, Britney Stamm, had to say about Lolon's safety practices:

"Cerris wants to recognize Lolon for his efforts in doing his best in creating a safe and stress-free work environment. He is always interested in the well-being of his colleagues in every way possible. Whether it's going the extra mile to get his crews the latest and greatest in safety equipment, best tool for the job, or just being someone that is there to confide in, he is an asset when it comes to the safety culture of this company. I can honestly say that he makes everyone's job better by taking his role in the safety culture seriously. On a personal level he has made great strides with his foreman by setting an example of what lengths a good leader is willing to go to establish a safe and happy work culture."

At MCA-Omaha's quarterly safety meeting each company in attendance is encouraged to nominate a Safety All-Star. After each company presents their proposed recipient, a winner is selected at random and receives a donated gift from Total Tool.

The 2026 Heavy Metal Summer Experience is officially underway! We recently welcomed 12 students from across Iowa and Nebraska for Orientation Day, kicking off three weeks of hands-on learning and career exploration in the skilled trades.

Throughout the program, participants will visit local union halls, connect with industry professionals, and gain firsthand insight into what a career in the trades can look like.

Jack Duren, Vice President, was recently featured in the Phoenix Business Journal’s "People on the Move" following his recent promotion at Cerris Systems. The recognition comes after three years of leading significant growth and expansion in the Phoenix market.
