Big news in the heart of the Crossroads! 🏗️

Yesterday, we reached a major milestone with the topping out of The Refinery apartments. Since breaking ground in December 2024, watching this project rise has been an exciting glimpse into the future of our own neighborhood. Once complete, The Refinery will feature 147 units, a private parking garage, a rooftop pool, and state-of-the-art amenities.

Centric has called the Crossroads home for 16 years, making this project especially meaningful. We’re honored to help shape the growth of our own backyard and grateful for incredible partners like Copaken Brooks and Generator Studio who have helped turn vision into reality. 👏🏼

We’re kicking off our Site Walk Series at Turner West Logistics! 👷‍♂️

Join Superintendent Nick Reesor as he takes us around the job site and shares what the team has been working on. From major civil infrastructure and rock blasting to Centric’s first-ever bridge, there’s a lot happening across this 92-acre development in Kansas City, Kansas!

The project includes extensive earthwork, new roads and utilities, retaining walls, and two tilt-up warehouses totaling approximately 712,000 SF. In this episode, Nick gives us a closer look at the work underway and the progress being made across the site.

Cooper’s Hawk is approaching the finish line in Cary, North Carolina! 🍷

The team is putting the finishing touches on this new location – with interior millwork, paint, and wall covering installation coming together. Outside, ACM installation and exterior painting are progressing, and the landscaping is complete. With the punch walk behind them, the crews are focused on final details and preparing for inspections as the project nears completion!

We’re thrilled to wrap up yet another Cooper’s Hawk location and look forward to continuing our work with this amazing client! 👏

This week, Centric joined the construction industry in recognizing Construction Su***de Prevention Week and this year’s theme, Building on Progress.

Recent data shows that su***de and drug-related death rates in construction have begun to decline. That progress matters, but we know the work isn’t finished. Building on Progress means recognizing what’s working while continuing to break down barriers, strengthen pathways to support, and create a culture where asking for help is seen as a sign of strength.

Throughout the week, our teams participated in daily toolbox talks covering topics including How to Listen, Recognizing the Warning Signs, Language Matters, Family Dynamics & Construction, Money & Mental Health, and Lethal Means Safety. Members of our leadership team also shared videos discussing the topics that personally resonated with them, helping bring these important conversations to light and reminding our team that mental health is something we can all play a role in supporting.

At Centric, health and well-being always come first. We want our employee-owners to go home safe at the end of the day, and that means more than physical safety. We build structures together, and we build people up the same way. 💚

The school year is in full swing, and UCM students are back on campus enjoying the newly renovated Humphreys Building! 🏫

In collaboration with Hollis + Miller Architects, the renovation transformed what was once a series of separate wings into a cohesive, vibrant educational hub. Designed to be utilized by all students, the updated space seamlessly balances quiet focus areas and flexible classrooms with open, lounge-style environments that invite connection across departments. Reimagined to better serve today's campus community, Humphreys now brings together Criminal Justice, ROTC, McNair Scholars, the Safety Center, Physical Education, Counseling, Testing Services, Online and Learning Engagement, Health Promotion, and a brand-new Esports facility all under one roof.
