🌱🚨 W**D WATCH WEDNESDAY 🚨🌱
Let’s talk about something every lawn owner hears but may not fully understand…
🛑 Pre-Emergent vs. Post-Emergent 🛑
Pre-Emergent
Think of this as your lawn’s preventative defense. Pre-emergent creates a barrier in the soil that stops w**d seeds (like crabgrass) from sprouting in the first place. It doesn’t kill existing w**ds—it prevents new ones from becoming a problem.
Post-Emergent
This is your lawn’s w**d fighter. Post-emergent products are used after w**ds have already emerged and are actively growing. These treatments target visible w**ds like dandelions, clover, chickw**d, and many others.
🌱 A healthy w**d control program uses BOTH:
✅ Pre-emergent to prevent w**ds
✅ Post-emergent to control the w**ds that sneak through
At Turf Geeks, we use a combination of both to help keep Kansas City lawns looking their best all season long.
Question of the day:
👇 Which w**d is giving you the most trouble right now?
