Thought I would share a few before, during, and after photos of the historic tile restoration in the elevator landing areas on 13 floors of the 1911 Rialto conversion into an AC Marriott Hotel in Downtown Kansas City, MO. A lot of work, but a result that is well worth it!

"That's a wrap" for our work on the historic 1911 Rialto conversion into an AC Marriott Property in Downtown Kansas City, MO. Our scope included 18 months of design, replication, repair, installation, and refinish of just about every common area hard surface in this amazing 13 story building. 12 months since our RETROSHINE mockup was completed in a well-known downtown KC building and our sustainable (no coating/no wax/no strip) system has passed the test! The floor you see in the photo has only been mopped and occasionally auto scrubbed during the test period. More information will be available soon.

Last week our RETROPROS Team completed repairs, shaping, and refinishing of a custom fabricated wood bar top fitted over venetian plaster rails in the grand staircase of the new KC Plaza Cascade Hotel. We completely removed all of the golden oak stain and finished with a thinned white satin that really showcased the design and grain.

Our PLASTER DYNAMICS Team began restoration last week of the original 1890 ornamental facade surrounding the East side entrance of the historic Bunker Building in downtown Kansas City, MO. Extreme deterioration will require a tremendous amount of casting, carving, and hand detail work.

We are proud to have been selected and appreciate the opportunity to participate in the historic Platte County Courthouse renovation project! Our team began work last week on restoration of the 150+ year old ornamental wooden eaves and soffits.
