The Burlington crew spent the day at Burlington City Park helping clean up litter and keeping the park a little safer and cleaner for everyone in the community 🌎🧤

We had a great time working together, enjoying the outdoors, and giving back to a place so many people enjoy. Bonus moment of the day: we snapped a photo by the river that, when turned upside down, looks like our technician is sitting on the edge of a cliff thanks to the water’s reflection. Safe to say the cleanup came with a pretty cool surprise too 📸

From starting as a semi-truck driver to leading a branch, Camryn's journey is anything but typical. After helping transform a team in Jacksonville, he’s now back in Texas, leading the Austin branch with a focus on growth, accountability, and team success.

As a General Manager, Trevor describes his role in one word: fulfilling. Whether he’s helping a customer solve a problem or supporting a team member’s growth, making an impact is what drives him.

What inspired Steve to join the CDPC team?
He felt an instant connection with our leadership. He saw a group with genuine values, a real mission, and an unwavering commitment to both customers and teammates — and knew he wanted to be part of it.

His role:
Steve leads our HR team, working closely with leaders across the company to support growth, development, and culture. He says watching our team grow and playing even a small part in someone’s journey is incredibly fulfilling.

And if you ask him? He’ll tell you he has the best HR team ever. Servant mentality isn’t just something we say — it’s how they show up every single day, always putting people first.

Fun fact:
Steve once took a five-year break from HR to start a home-building and real estate consulting business!

RODENT ROOMMATES

Where does all of our social isolating leave those urban-dwelling rodents who depend on our food garbage for sustenance? Secondarily, and perhaps even more worrying, where will those survivalists turn to when their need for food becomes dire?

Now is the time to take a close look at how tight the infrastructure of your home is, and how careful you’re being about food waste.

The most vulnerable spots in a home are doors that may be eroding or don’t fit snugly into their frames, allowing the space necessary for rodents like rats and mice to gnaw holes which will allow them to enter your home. They will go through almost any opening where they can get to the food they’re smelling and try to move into your home. They are starving! Rats, for example, reproduce at a tremendous rate, mating up to 20 times in 6 hours and producing four to seven litters of 10 rats each year. That's as many as 70 little rats who, unfortunately grow to be big, hungry rats who make even more babies.

Look around. Eliminate stray trash cans, dumpster bags or anything that's going to attract pests. Rodents are very smart and capable critters. To repeat, you want to make sure your doors fit tightly at the threshold and that there’s no gap that will allow desperate rodents into your house.
