I always wait until the last possible moment to pull out dead or dying plants.
This is somewhat controversial because I may spread disease to new plants or in the soil.
But these dead plants are covered with spiders and dragonflies and all kinds of bugs nesting and they are all part of my little garden family.
The best part is as the flowers die and the heads turn to seed, they reseed themselves and I don't have to plant or buy new seeds.
Do you remove your dead plants immediately or do you let them go for awhile?
