What a blessing it is to have a fall like morning, following last weeks brutal temps! It’s also a blessing when our homeowners allow the crew to get started “bright” and early. Getting head starts in the heat of the summer really helps us not only maximize our working times during better temperatures, but also helps us and the crews mentally; and for that we thank our customers at Ridgeline Exteriors LLC when the situation allows for an early start. When you’re out doing all of these hail inspections on steep two story houses with the secondary ladder that you’re a couple of ticks, or as I’d say “Nick’s”(meat and cheeses), over the ladder capacity and it starts calling your wife to tell her to get the life insurance company on the phone! If you turn the volume up, you can hear what Jesus take the wheel sounds like (heavy breathing and ladder creaking)…

Fortunately no claim worthy storm damage on this roof, despite being surrounded by baseball sized ice falling! This homeowner trees, took the brunt of the storm.

Early morning, following an evening of storms as we have to go put a roof on and then get back to storm repairs from last evening… While I’m headed to I get the pleasure to drive past one of my customers homes that had their permanent lights on as the sun was rising.  Seeing the lights whether it’s at my house or this customer’s house always makes me happy, and this morning helped make the 4:30 AM start a little bit easier remembering how great it is to have so many trust us with their homes! Have a good hump day!

Keep an eye on the sky in a few hours, it’s about to get western again! Lots of wind damage out there, isolated hail damage, and isolated areas of damage that would rise to “Claim worthy” (ex. Structural damage, trees through roofs, etc.) is what’s being seen by us at Ridgeline Exteriors LLC thus far. Best course of action is if you’re concerned and don’t have obvious urgent damage that you’ve suffered, schedule an inspection after this series of storm systems (Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow) to see if the totality of the damage reaches to that of an insurance claim after discussing with us and most importantly with your Agent!

We’ve lucked out on no storms so far, but this weekend doesn’t look like a great forecast; so hopefully they’ve got it wrong. Be safe, be prepared to be annoyed by door knockers if it hits, ask questions, and Do Not Rush! You have nothing but time, despite the panic someone tries to sell you!
