🇺🇸 Flag Day 2026 H 🇺🇸 Flag Day 2026 Honoring Our Nation’s Symbol 🇺🇸
This Flag Day, members of the community joined VFW Post 1302 to witness a dignified and respectful Flag Retirement Ceremony conducted by the Kearny-Belleville Elks.
As veterans, citizens, and patriots gathered together, we were reminded that the American flag is more than a piece of cloth it represents the sacrifices of those who have defended our freedoms, the values that unite us, and the enduring spirit of our nation.
We are especially honored that the Sons of the American Revolution recognized both the Elks and VFW Post 1302 for our shared commitment to promoting patriotism, civic pride, and the proper retirement of unserviceable American flags. These traditions ensure that respect for our nation’s symbol continues to be passed on to future generations.
A special thank you to the Kearny Fire Department for their support and for ensuring the safety of all participants during the flag retirement process. Their professionalism and dedication helped make this important ceremony possible.
Thank you to the Kearny-Belleville Elks, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Kearny Fire Department, and all who attended and continue to support programs that strengthen love of country and respect for our nation’s heritage.
