đź’§ Watering Recommendations đź’§

This year’s weather has been a bit of a roller coaster, and temperatures still haven’t settled into a consistent pattern. To help keep your lawn healthy without overwatering, here are our current irrigation recommendations:

• Pop-Up Spray Zones: 12–15 minutes
• Rotor Zones: 20–25 minutes
• Drip Zones: 25–35 minutes
• MP Rotator Zones: 25–30 minutes

Recommended frequency: 2 days per week

For St. Augustine and Zoysia lawns, avoid watering late at night or through the early morning hours. We recommend setting your irrigation cycles to finish by approximately 9:00 AM. This helps reduce prolonged moisture on the turf and can greatly decrease the risk of fungus issues.

If you have questions about your irrigation schedule or lawn health, feel free to reach out to us anytime!

Severe weather has forced a temporary shutdown for all crews. We appreciate your patience as we prioritize safety. Properties that were rained out last Tuesday and not completed will be first on our schedule tomorrow once conditions improve.

It’s DRY… really dry.

We’re seeing a lot of lawns struggling right now—many are stuck in transition and showing signs of stress from the lack of moisture.

If you haven’t turned your irrigation system on yet this season, now is the time.

We recommend running your sprinklers daily for the next 2–3 days to give your lawn a deep, thorough soak and help it catch up. After that, stay consistent with your watering schedule to maintain healthy growth.

A good, heavy watering now can make all the difference in how your lawn performs heading into the season.

If you’re unsure about your system or need help getting things dialed in, we’re here to help.

ACORNS, ACORNS, ACORNS! 🌳

This year’s acorn production is one of the largest we’ve seen in decades. This is nature’s way of responding to stress—especially after a hot, dry summer followed by an early warm-up in spring.

As part of our service, we do include w**d control in flower beds. However, it’s important to understand that it is not feasible to hand-pick every acorn on every visit. Our teams focus on using a combination of pre-emergent and post-emergent treatments wherever applicable to help control growth.

One of the biggest factors in minimizing acorn rooting is maintaining proper mulch coverage. A well-mulched bed helps prevent acorns from taking hold and establishing deep roots.

Since October 1st, our crews have bagged over 51,000 (39-gallon) bags of debris—many of those filled with acorns. That said, due to the sheer volume this season, some will remain in beds.

No need for concern—over the course of routine maintenance visits, our teams will continue to:
• Spray where appropriate
• Hand-pull sprouted acorns
• Gradually reduce buildup over time

We approach this as a courtesy clean-up, but it’s not possible to spend hours at each property removing every acorn. The remaining acorns will naturally biodegrade, and any that sprout will be addressed little by little during each visit.

We appreciate your understanding during this heavy season—and as always, we’re working hard to keep your property looking its best.

Texas Lawn Transition Season

We’re entering that time of year when Texas lawns start waking up. After this coming week of storms and fluctuating temperatures, you’ll begin to see areas of grass turning green while other spots may still look brown. This is completely normal.

During the transition from winter dormancy to spring growth, lawns often look a little uneven. Areas that receive more sunlight warm up faster and green up sooner, while shaded areas can take a little longer. This can create a patchy or blotchy appearance, but there’s nothing to worry about.

Once daytime temperatures consistently reach the mid-to-upper 80s and nighttime temperatures stay above 60°, your lawn will really start to wake up and green up evenly. When temperatures hover just below that range, lawns tend to stay in this transitional phase a bit longer.

Before we know it, Texas summer heat will be here, so enjoy these cooler nights while they last. Your lawn will be fully awake soon. 🌱

Due to the high chances of rain and storms each day over the next week, our schedule may need to shift frequently.

Some properties may be serviced a day earlier than planned so we can complete as much work as possible before the next round of storms moves in. Others may be pushed back slightly depending on weather conditions.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work around Mother Nature to keep everyone’s property looking its best. 🌧️⚡
