😂 Everybody wants quality work… until it’s time to pay for quality work.
Then suddenly the post says:
“Looking for a handyman…”
“Maybe a high school kid looking to make some extra money…”
“Should only take a couple hours…”
“I already bought the materials…”
Translation: I want professional results, I just don’t want to pay a professional. 😂
There’s a reason legitimate businesses charge what they charge.
Insurance. Licensing. Employees. Payroll. Taxes. Equipment. Tools. Vehicles. Fuel. Training. Overhead. And most importantly — standing behind the work when the job is finished.
You’re not just paying somebody to swing a hammer. You’re paying for the experience, equipment, accountability, and legitimate business behind that hammer.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with hiring a handyman or giving a young person an opportunity to make some money. But if you’re expecting licensed-contractor quality, professional equipment, a crew, and a company that will actually be there if something goes wrong, don’t expect “high school kid” pricing. 😂
Good work isn’t cheap.
And cheap work has a funny way of becoming expensive work later. 👀
