This week, we completed a full curb appeal boost for a client whose landscaping had become overgrown and tired-looking. The bushes were out of control, trees were growing into the house, w**ds had taken over the beds, and the old rock was faded and sparse. It was time for a complete refresh.

Here's what we did to transform it:

This week, we had the pleasure of refreshing the front flower beds for Marisol & Mike Pellegrino. Their beds had lost their vitality over time — depleted soil, sparse plantings, and a tired look that wasn't doing their beautiful home any favors.

Here's what we did to bring them back to life:

✅ Amended the existing soil with fresh, nutrient-rich material to give new plants the best foundation for growth

✅ Tilled everything in thoroughly to ensure proper drainage and root development

✅ Planted 14 gorgeous Gardenias — a classic Southern choice that delivers year-round green foliage and those incredible fragrant white blooms in late spring and summer

✅ Topped it all off with fresh black mulch for a clean, polished finish that also helps retain moisture and suppress w**ds

Some projects come with a little history attached. 🪵

This week, we rebuilt a landscape timber retaining wall that had been holding strong since 1989 — 35 years of North Texas weather, soil shifts, and wear and tear. Our customer knew it was time for a replacement, and we were honored to take on the job.

Non-load-bearing retaining walls like this one serve an important function in yard design — they define spaces, manage erosion, and add visual structure to landscapes. But after three and a half decades, even the best-built walls start to show their age. Wood rots, timbers shift, and what once looked sharp starts to become a liability.

We demoed the old wall carefully, hauled away the debris, and installed a brand-new landscape timber retaining wall built with the same care and precision as the original — just with modern materials and techniques that'll help it last another generation.

The time-lapse shows the full transformation: demo, rebuild, and the finished product. It's not glamorous work, but it's the kind of craftsmanship that matters when you're building something meant to last.
