Heads up to everyone west of the DFW Metroplex — conditions are becoming favorable for severe weather as storms move in later today and tonight. Areas west of Fort Worth could see the strongest activity first before storms push east.
Main threats include:
• Large hail
• Damaging straight-line winds
• Heavy rainfall & dangerous lightning
• Isolated tornado potential cannot be ruled out
Now is the time to:
✅ Secure outdoor furniture and trampolines
✅ Park vehicles under cover if possible
✅ Charge phones and devices

3:42 PM CDT — Severe Thunderstorm Warning for eastern Parker and west-central Tarrant counties until 4:15 PM.
A severe storm near Lake Weatherford is moving southeast at 25 MPH toward Willow Park, Aledo, Annetta, Benbrook, White Settlement, and west Fort Worth.
60 MPH wind gusts and quarter-size hail are possible. Expect dangerous lightning and heavy rain too.
Get inside a sturdy building and stay away from windows.
