Ever hear a loud bang or knock right after a faucet, dishwasher, or washing machine shuts off?

That’s not something to ignore. It could be water hammer, high water pressure, or unsecured pipes putting unnecessary stress on your plumbing system.

Over time, that repeated force can wear on pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures — and turn a strange noise into a much bigger repair.

If your plumbing is making that sound, have it checked before it gets worse.

Call Chesco Plumbing at (484) 653-5709 for a diagnosis.

Back to school means back to busy mornings.

More showers, packed bathrooms, extra laundry, dishes, lunches — and everyone trying to get out the door at once. That’s often when small plumbing problems start becoming a lot more noticeable.

Keep an eye out for slow drains, weak water pressure, running toilets, or hot water that disappears faster than it should. Those can be early signs that something needs attention.

Catching the problem now is a lot easier than dealing with a backup or cold shower on a Monday morning.

Your water heater usually gives you warning signs before it fails.

Watch for:
• Hot water running out faster than usual
• Water temperature changing unexpectedly
• Rust-colored water
• Popping or rumbling sounds
• Moisture around the base

If you are noticing any of these, it is worth having the system checked before a small issue turns into a no-hot-water emergency.

Chesco Plumbing can inspect the problem, explain what is going on, and give you a straight answer on whether it makes sense to repair or replace it.

Right now, Chesco Plumbing is offering $250 off qualifying water heater replacements.

Recent job: vanity & toilet plumbing upgrade

This customer originally called because the toilet was gurgling when flushed. While we were there, we also helped finish out the plumbing for the new double vanity.

The work included updated supply valves and lines, new P-traps, toilet plumbing updates, securing the vanity, and connecting the customer-provided faucets and pop-up assemblies.

Small plumbing details matter — especially when you want everything to work properly and stay leak-free after the remodel is finished.

When you have a plumbing emergency, you need someone who knows what they’re doing — and can get there fast.

Gregory called Chesco Plumbing after a hot water supply line started leaking and the water had to be shut off to his home. Patrick quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the repair clearly, and our team was able to get someone dispatched within the hour.

That’s the level of service we aim to provide on every call.

Heavy summer rain can expose a sump pump problem fast. A stuck float, failed switch, clogged discharge line, or dead backup battery may not show itself until water is already rising.

Before the next storm:

• Test the pump with a bucket of water
• Make sure the discharge line is clear
• Check the backup battery
• Listen for unusual noises or constant cycling

Not confident your sump pump will work when you need it? Have it inspected before the rain puts it to the test.
