Sometimes it's hard to describe to people the size of this project I did back in 2021. Finally got to see it form a birds eye view and it truly gives it perspective on size. Not to mention this is on a hill as well, so it is tiered, which you can see by the multiple borders and two sets of natural stone steps. 🥰

4 years later and the garden has gotten so beautiful. Love the hardy hibiscus and it loves it here too. ❤️

Here is the final look before winter settles in. It's ready for plant design and installation in the spring, the waterfall and pond are working great, irrigation system is in and ready as well. The lilacs have been renewal pruned to allow them to come back new next year and ideas for a possible decorative edging to add on top of existing edge. Thank you Linda Cate for allowing me into your garden and life I know that it was exciting but difficult at times to change, but with faith and love it's turned out beautifully. The real fun is coming up next and I cannot wait!! See everyone in the spring 🌻 If anyone has questions or comments I'm open and happy to answer any 🙂

One of my most challenging projects physically that is. I think it turned out beautifully and am excited to watch it grow. There will be additions in the spring and will see how everything does over the winter. This is one of many areas on the property that will be receiving a face lift.

Current overhaul of 20 plus old garden😊 these are some of favorite jobs! I love seeing the transformation happening. We are getting it set up to create a whole new design for this garden. This includes removal of all w**ds, unwanted plants, debris, and landscape fabric, rejuvenation of patio, pond, and edging, till and amend soil, level soil, lay landscape fabric, and last but not least mulch. I'm about half way done and will post when finished.

Finally got pictures of the finished walkway and the client and I couldn't be happier with it. It turned out great.

Crisp edges and a fresh look is what hard work,, aluminum edging, and little extra rock will give you! I've worked on this garden going on 6 yrs now and over time the rocks had collected enough material that it had created an environment for w**ds to sprout. Instead if constant rock w**ding and/or using poison, we took third option of lifting and cleaning rocks, remove old landscape fabric, level, install aluminum edging, apply new fabric, re-lay existing irrigation, clean rocks and a ton of new rock on top. Only thing left is to turn that gutter and add/move some plants. This is definitely a labor intensive project but this garden will be free of unwanted w**ds for years to come. If any do sprout there is no attachment to soil so just moving rocks around the w**d disturbs it enough to kill it off.

I was contacted by this client because she had someone come out and tell her that they could do a landscaping project and that they had not it done properly. She described the situation as very unprofessional and in the end she had a half assed job and a company that took off with her money and paid supplies. I felt for her because there are a lot of people out there claiming to be able to do something in which they have no real experiance doing and the client ends up unhappy. I set up an appointment and came to see what this job really looked like. The company prior thought that cutting, spraying, and covering would be the solution to this problem. It is not the way to deal with this! This was an exstensive process of w**d and tree root removal not cut, spray, and cover hope for the best. A job like this has to be done the right way the first time or you will be spraying and pulling for years to come. The amount of invasive plants and root systems in this garden that was well over 20 plus years old was throughout the whole area and I knew then it was going to be a labor intensive process. This project was presented to me in the middle of october and we were able to work all the way into December ( which in itself is amazing for Wisconsin). This project is not finished but it is prepped for the spring to add in the steps, more rock and boulders, plants, and mulch. When finished it will be a beautiful conifer rock garden, with a place to sit and destress, listen to nature and soak up the sun. Ill keep everyone up to date come spring in 48 days until then... it's design time for me.
