When I was 17 yrs old, working on a roof for my dad with an old guy named Pinky, I told Pinky he was living my worst nightmare. Fifty years later I'm grateful to still be able to work on the roof and teach a new generation to do quality work.

This is a payroll position with Workers’ Compensation coverage. Kaiser medical coverage is available after a trial period. Working on the books can also help build steady employment history and creditworthiness.
Roofing or construction experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Why does it leak in the middle of the roof?
Shingle nails on toungue-in-groove sheathing can fall in the crack between boards. If water reaches these nails it can leak into the crack and travel sideways before dripping inside.

Don't be afraid to get a roof inspection. It could be good news. Ten years after we installed Centennial shingles on his house and cottage, the homeowner expected the worst after the Kona storm. He called us for a roof inspection. His roofs not only weathered the Kona storm, they look brand new.

Here's a vent leak from a common roofer error. Shingles cut too close to the side of the vent flashing traps water and makes it travel sideways under the shingles and into the attic. Solution: cut a finger width channel for water to flow freely.
